Youth Programming for 6th-12th Grade
As you have heard already, all in person programming has been suspended at this time. The St. Matt's community believes that we need each other now, more than ever. In an effort to remain connected in faith, the following will be available in the coming days for Youth:
- This Sunday, March 15th Joint Youth Ministry will hold two Zoom Meetings. The first with 6th-8th graders at 3pm. The second with 9th-12th graders at 4pm. Invites will be sent out via email to join the virtual meeting. Julie and myself will use this time to update youth on our schedule for the next few weeks.
- There will be two Google Classrooms set up for 6th-8th grade and 9th-12th grade. Classroom codes will be emailed out with additional scheduling information. These online classrooms will serve as a space to connect daily over a passage of scripture, reflection questions, inspirational and/or funny videos etc. This is a space that can be accessed daily and throughout the day to suit all scheduling needs and keep us engaged.
- We will be sending out an infographic with "5 Daily Peace Practices" that can be printed out and used as a reference. We believe our current world and community circumstances present a unique opportunity to engage with God, our community and our inner selves in ways we typically are too busy for.
- Check out the Prayer at Home resources Marissa has posted for ways to spend time with God and in prayer as a family unit. We see this opportunity as another blessing as well. Click here for access to her Prayer Resources.
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.
May grace and peace be yours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2
- Samantha
