Thanksgiving Gift Cards for St. Luke's/St. Paul's and St. John's Food Pantries

Our usual Thanksgiving tradition of assembling Thanksgiving Baskets for Wilton Social Services has been put on hold this year at the request of Wilton Social Services, as COVID-19 precautions have made their Thanksgiving meal process different this year. It wouldn't be 2020 without a twist in the way we do things now, would it?? :)
So this year, through our Deacon, Don, and his connection with Diane Johnson, Deacon serving at St. John's in Bridgeport, we will be filling a desperate need for our fellow community members in Bridgeport who are experiencing even higher levels of food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic fallout. We will be collecting $25 Stop and Shop gift cards for clients of the St. Luke's/St.Paul's and St. John's food pantries in Bridgeport to purchase their Thanksgiving turkeys. We would love to be able to provide them with as many gift cards as possible, so please give whatever you are able! Stop and Shop (please only Stop and Shop at this time!) Gift cards can be dropped off at the church (please slide under the office door) between 8am and 2:30pm Monday -Thursday and between 11am and 1pm on Sunday. The collection will begin this Sunday, Nov. 8 - Fri. Nov. 13. If you would like to monetarily contribute (we will buy the gift cards) or if you have any questions? Please email Lindsay Wyman.
