Racial Healing, Justice & Reconciliation @ St. Matt's

At the end of the summer and in the early part of the fall, a group of parishioners faithfully read two books and participated in faithful and difficult conversations examining racial healing, justice, and reconciliation. The majority of that group indicated an interest in continuing to explore this work and what it means for us at St. Matt's and in our surrounding community. Our reading and discussions were first steps on a meaningful road to which we believe God is calling us.
Our first meeting to organize and begin setting up this work will take place on November 19th at 5:30pm. If you are feeling moved to respond to the pain around us in the world, moved to live out the Gospel by exploring this work, please join us for this preliminary conversation. We look forward to continuing to share sacred space, building relationships, and exploring together what Jesus is calling us to do in our time and place.
The Zoom link for this first conversation will be shared in our e-news and in our Parishioner Facebook Group.
If you didn't read with us in August, that's okay! You might start now in order to prepare for the conversations ahead.
