Mission Momentum: Update April 7th
St. Matt's is still on a mission to be God's hands and feet on earth...with very clean hands and feet 6ft. away from each other for the time being!
Wilton Social Services - Emergency Need for the food pantry!
Wilton Social Services is in dire need of nonperishable food items and household/personal care items for their food pantry. If you are going to the store, please consider picking up a few extra items below and dropping them at the shed in the front lot in front of the Wilton Police Station (this is a no contact method - and WSS will then take the food from there to the makeshift food pantry outside Comstock.) WSS gives essential services to our community, and they are currently experiencing a great surge in need. Here is a list of the most needed items:
- Laundry detergent
- Dishwashing and dishwasher soap
- Toothpaste/toothbrushes
- Deodorant (men's/women's)
- Soap
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Toilet paper
- Tissues
- peanut butter
- jelly
- tuna
- pasta
- canned vegetables
- cereal
- soup
- jarred pasta sauce
- canned fruit
- oatmeal
- rice
- canned beans
- nuts
Circle of Care VIRTUAL 5K
Although the Circle of Care 5K on May 3rd had to be canceled because of social distancing, they have been able to move it to a VIRTUAL 5K! Sign up to walk/run wherever you are over the weekend of May 1-3. St. Matt's is a sponsor of this event for our Mission partner, and we invite you to sign up as a walker or runner...and hopefully it will be a beautiful weekend where we can all get out to walk or run 6 ft. apart in our respective neighborhoods to get some fresh air and support an incredible organization. https://thecircleofcare.org/
