April 8th: Saints and Witnesses
Dear friends and members of St. Matt's,
Tonight at Evening Prayer, you'll hear the story of "Spy Wednesday". On this day, Jesus gathers for dinner with his disciples, and he acknowledges that someone will betray him. Then he sends Judas out to do what he must do. Tonight the theme of betrayal is palpable - and when that's true in our own lives, we often feel the need to cling more closely to the people who love and support us.
Who is it that has loved and supported you? Who do you love but see no longer? Who nurtured the light of Christ in you? And are there Saints who have been your companions? Especially right now, the love and support of those we love is so important. How are you staying connected to the people you love - and the people who love you?
Take a look a the images below to see what to add to your home altar today. If you don't have icons at home, you might consider printing some of these images. Then join us for Evening Prayer online at 7pm (on Facebook Live or on our website). Click here to download the bulletin for Evening Prayer.
Please be in touch if you need anything. You are all in my prayers.
Faithfully,
--Marissa +
